A new Pan-Asian restaurant in Columbia’s Vista is opening its doors
Columbia’s Vista dining and entertainment district officially has a new restaurant.
Boku Kitchen and Saloon, a Pan-Asian restaurant and bar from the same group that runs Publico Kitchen and Tap in Five Points, announced on its Facebook and Instagram accounts that it was opening its doors at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2.
The restaurant is located at 916 Gervais St. in the space that once housed Sure Fire Tacos. The bright green building, a demonstrative splash of color in the Vista, is right next door to Urban Outfitters.
In its social media announcement, Boku hinted at a bit of a soft opening Wednesday, offering — with a wink emoji — that the debut would be “our little secret.”
The restaurant’s menu posted on its website features a robust selection of noodles, as well as entrees such as honey chicken and kimchi fried rice. It also has a number of salads and soups, and a solid roster of small plate dishes, including calamari, Hong Kong ribs, crab Rangoon and edamame, among other offerings. The spot also will feature a full bar.
In addition to Boku and the Publico in Five Points, the group behind the restaurants also recently announced it was bringing another Publico location to the BullStreet district later this year.
