A resident of the Columbia Housing Authority died early Friday morning, according to a press release from the housing authority .

The resident was one of four individuals found unresponsive that morning said Cynthia Hardy, spokeswoman for the housing authority. EMT were able to revive three of them, she said.

A resident who was believed to be involved in the incident was arrested, according to the press release. It’s unclear if that person was one of the individuals found unresponsive.

“Our priorities in this situation are ensuring the safety of our residents and providing helpful resources and/or information to our residents,” the housing authority said. “We are working closely with the Columbia Police Department, specifically Officer D. Washington—who is assigned to Latimer Manor, to knock on doors and distribute information regarding drug awareness.”
