The SC Food Truck and Beer Festival is headed back to Columbia. Here’s what’s cooking

The trucks are coming.

The South Carolina Food Truck and Beer Festival is set return to Columbia for a seventh year. This year’s festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. April 9 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds.

The event is put on by Food Truck Festivals of America, which hosts similar fests in nearly a dozen locations nationwide. General admission tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door, with kids 12 and under allowed in free.

The festival also offers several premium packages ranging in price from $25 to $41. Details on those packages can be found at www.foodtruckfestivalsofamerica.com/columbia.

According to the event’s website, there will be nearly 50 food trucks and vendors on hand. Some of those listed include Scott’s Southern Smoke BBQ, Bubblelicious Waffles, The Noodle Lady, The Donut Shack, Smokin Gringos Tex Mex BBQ and many others.

There are also set to be nearly 30 kinds of beer offered, including drinks from local breweries such as Swamp Cabbage, Steel Hands and Columbia Craft.
