It’s crunch time. Vote today in Round 4 of The State’s Pizza Bracket, the Fiery Four

Vote in our Pizza Bracket today!

Like your pizza delivery driver on a Saturday night, it’s starting to get late.

The State’s 2022 Pizza Bracket has reached the semifinal round. We are asking readers to vote for the best pizzerias in the Columbia area. And as it turns out, much like college football and “Star Trek” fandom, loyalties run deep in the pizza game.

The bracket kicked off on April 4 with 32 entrants selected by staffers at The State. The field was then whittled down to 16 in the next round, then to eight in the Round 3.

Now there are only four contenders left: Dano’s, Thirsty Fellow, Bellacino’s and Village Idiot. Dano’s, long a popular establishment on Columbia’s Rosewood Drive, led the voting in Round 3.

We are asking readers to trim the bracket once again by selecting their two favorites out of the remaining field from the poll below. As ever, we’ll note this is not a scientific or all-encompassing poll, but you know what Gandhi once said: “Where there is pizza, there is life.” (OK, maybe he didn’t say that. But still, please vote.)

You have until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 16, to cast votes in Round 4, the Fiery Four. Then look for the final round, the Tomato Sauce Two, beginning Monday, April 18.

Cast your votes today!
