Highlight the heroes: Do you know someone who helped during the Columbiana mall shooting?
Witnesses have described a chaotic and frenzied scene when 14 people were injured in a shooting at Columbiana Centre mall Saturday, with shoppers diving under tables and rushing for doorways for cover once shots were fired.
But we’ve also heard stories about people who stepped up to help others through the confusion, including a nursing student and an off-duty EMT who attended to a gunshot victim. The State wants to help tell those stories.
