Columbia’s getting a Sully’s Steamers bagel sandwich shop. Check out what they have
A bagel sandwich restaurant that has long been popular in the Upstate has set its sights on Columbia.
Sully’s Steamers announced in a post on Instagram that it is bringing a franchise to Columbia.
“Congratulations, Columbia, you just got your first Sully’s!,” the restaurant posted. “We are so excited to work with our newest franchise owners, @chefstuckey and @brittbrittstuckey, who will bring their incredibly positive energy to Sully’s in Columbia.”
Michael Stuckey is the executive chef with Southern Way Catering, and Brittany Stuckey is the vice president of Southern Way, according to listings on that company’s website.
Sully’s Steamers has long had a location on East Washington Street in bustling downtown Greenville, and it also has locations in Clemson and in Brevard, N.C. An exact Columbia location for Sully’s has not been named, but the restaurant said on Instagram that the franchisees are looking for the right spot.
Sully’s uses a special process to make its sandwiches.
“At Sully’s, we steam our famous bagel sandwiches until they’re hot, melty and delicious,” the company says on its website. “Sandwiches stuffed with fresh, flavorful ingredients that are placed in our steamer until the bagel gets warm and soft and the ingredients achieve the peak of tastiness. Now, we’re not a bagel shop. We’re a sandwich shop that just makes bagel sandwiches to order.”
A glance at Sully’s menu shows a plethora of bagel steamers, including the Nachos Maximus, which has turkey, cheddar, lettuce, honey mustard, parm-peppercorn and Doritos (the chips are on the sandwich), and the Hulk, which features turkey, pepperoni, salami, onions, provolone, cheddar and Italian dressing. The also have a number of breakfast steamers.
