The Midlands is getting a new Big Lots. Here’s where you can hunt for deals
Shoppers in the Midlands will soon have a new place to hunt for deals.
A new Big Lots store in Newberry will have its grand opening event on May 21, according to a release from the company. The new 31,000-square-foot store will be located at 1937 Wilson Road in Newberry. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on grand opening weekend, a company spokeswoman said.
The release said the first 100 customers through the door will get scratch-off cards “for a potential reward of up to $250 off a purchase.” The company also said there would be “doorbuster” savings during the opening weekend.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Big Lots experience to Newberry with the opening of our newest location,” Big Lots president and CEO Bruce Thorn said in the release. “We’ve put a lot of thought into the layout, design and visual appeal of the store to elevate the shopper experience and help our customers live bigger and better.”
Big Lots carries a wide variety of items, from everyday necessities to home decor pieces to furniture and beyond. The company describes the shopping experience there as “part treasure hunt, part bargain hunt.”
There are currently more than a half-dozen Big Lots stores in the Midlands area.
