A new Midlands brunch spot has opened its doors. Check out what they’ve got
A new restaurant with a focus on breakfast and lunch has opened in Chapin.
BaKon Southern Eatery opened on May 16, according to posts on the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
“Man, oh, man, do we have the Bakon!” the restaurant posted. “We also have some eggs, biscuits, grits and all your breakfast favorites too. But did you know, we are also serving lunch?”
The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, according to its website. It is located at 301 Columbia Ave., near Chapin High School.
BaKon has an expansive menu of breakfast, lunch and brunch favorites. That includes a deep roster of omelets, including, among others, The Chophouse, which has shaved prime rib, bacon and provolone cheese, and The Carolinian, which has bacon, sausage, green peppers, onions and cheddar cheese.
Southern staples like shrimp and grits are on the menu, as are a variety of pancakes, including the Bakon Cakes, which are, you guessed it, bacon-infused pancakes with a serving of spicy maple syrup.
BaKon also has a number of burgers, sandwiches, salads and other lunch stalwarts. The restaurant noted on Instagram that it serves bloody marys and mimosas.
