Columbia announces new Food Truck Friday event. Here’s where to get your street food

If you’re out on the town next Friday and looking for something to eat, Columbia has you covered.

The city announced a new Food Truck Friday event beginning June 10 at selected spots around the capital city.

Food trucks will be operating from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for three consecutive Fridays, offering a wide variety of street cuisine.

“Food Truck Fridays is an opportunity to showcase some of the great things about our city in the summertime,” City Councilwoman Aditi Bussells said in a release announcing the new initiative. “I’m looking forward to our citizens enjoying and exploring our downtown districts and connecting with each other over good food.”

The schedule for Food Truck Fridays:

June 10

Caffeine Cabin and Paella South, 1400 Assembly St.

La Cochinita and Z’Z BBQ, 1 Justice Square

Elevation Catering and Li’l House of Pizza, 2300 Bull St.

June 17

Paella South, 1400 Assembly St.

La Cochinita and Z’Z BBQ, 1 Justice Square

June 24
