Free — yes, free — milkshakes coming at this Lexington burger joint. Here’s when to get one
It’s tough to imagine a better time to grab a cold milkshake than during the throes of a blast furnace hot Midlands summer.
It’s even better when the shakes are free.
That will be the case Saturday, June 25, at Wayback Burgers at 5230 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, near Lowes Foods. Customers who visit the restaurant on Saturday can get a 12-ounce chocolate milkshake for free, with no purchase necessary.
“We cannot think of a better way to kick off summer than the indulgence of one of our hand-crafted milkshakes. Offering our chocolate shake for free is a perfect nod to the nostalgia that both summer and the Wayback brand brings to our guests,” Wayback president Patrick Conlin said in a release.
The Wayback in Lexington is the only Midlands location of the chain. Elsewhere in South Carolina it has locations in Spartanburg, Duncan, Greenville, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Goose Creek and Summerville.
Wayback is perhaps most known for its burgers, fries and shakes. It’s also adding some new menu items this summer, including Nashville hot chicken.
