A new Mexican bar and grill is in the works in Irmo at this popular shopping center

There’s a new Mexican restaurant on the way in Irmo.

Que! Bueno Mexican Bar and Grill is coming soon in the Kennerly Crossing shopping center at 7320 Broad River Road in Irmo, according to multiple signs at the site. The restaurant would be in suites G and H in the center. There was no indication on-site of when the restaurant might open, but a peek in the windows indicated preparations are happening inside.

The Kennerly Crossing shopping center is anchored by a Publix grocery store and also includes a UPS Store and other businesses. The shopping center is about a mile east of Interstate 26. There are a number of other businesses nearby the shopping center, including a Food Lion and a Bojangles across the street.

State Department of Transportation traffic counts show about 13,300 cars per day travel down that busy section of Broad River Road.

DeWees Real Estate Group announced earlier this year that it represented the restaurant in reaching a deal to locate in the shopping center. The spot where Que! Bueno is going was formerly home to the Fuji Cafe Japanese restaurant.
