Where Ya Bin discount store is coming to Columbia. Here’s where you can dig for deals

“Where Ya Bin all my life?”

It’s a question some Columbia shoppers who like to look for deals might soon be asking, as a new overstock retailer is set to open its doors.

Where Ya Bin, a store where customers can hunt for bargains among thousands of items laid out in bins throughout the store, is set to open at 9 a.m. Aug. 5 at 5422 Forest Drive in Columbia. It’s in a shopping center between Walmart and Sam’s Club, not far from Fort Jackson and Interstate 77.

According to a series of enthusiastic videos on Where Ya Bin’s Facebook page, the opening will give shoppers a crack at finding items from a host of name-brand companies, such as Apple, Beats by Dre, JBL, Revlon, Netgear and many others.

“Where Ya Bin purchases truckloads of overstock goods and customer returns from retailers across America,” the store says on its website. “We buy so much product, the only way to sell it is to put thousands of items into our bins and sell everything over the course of a week!”

The prices at the store will vary as the week goes along. Everything in the store is $14 on Fridays, $10 on Saturdays, $7 on Sundays, $5 on Mondays, $3 on Tuesdays, $1 on Wednesdays and 25 cents on Thursdays. The store will then restock on Thursday nights, and the pricing rotation starts over again on Friday.

Where Ya Bin accepts credit and debit cards only. It also does not allow backpacks or purses, though wallets and clutches are allowed, per the policies on its website.

The location of Where Ya Bin will be familiar to discount hunters: It’s in the former space of Crazy Cazboy’s, a different discount bin retailer.
