A longtime Lexington Hallmark gift, collectibles shop has closed its doors for good

A Lexington shop long known for gifts, greeting cards and more recently closed its doors.

Kitty’s Hallmark store, located in the shopping center at 5580 Sunset Blvd. suite C, right next to the Menchie’s frozen yogurt shop, closed in late July, per social media messages and a sign on the shop’s door. The store operated at that location for a number of years.

A message on the Lexington shop’s Facebook page indicated the last day there was July 24.

“Thanks for your patronage all these years,” the post said. “We are sad to be leaving Lexington!!”

Both the Facebook post and a note on the door at the Lexington shop ask customers to visit the Kitty’s Hallmark Shop at 6185 St. Andrews Road in the Irmo area, which remains open. The St. Andrews Road location is just south of the Irmo branch of the Lexington County library and is near Big Lots.

The Kitty’s on St. Andrews carries a host of gifts, collectibles, keepsake ornaments and much more.
