Fallen tree causes power outage for hundreds in Forest Acres

A fallen tree has caused many in the Forest Acres area to go without power Sunday afternoon.

SCE&G officials said the tree fell just after 12 p.m. and blocked part of Trenholm Road near Country Club Drive. Emergency responders and clean up crews are on site to clear the tree and reopen the roadway.

An estimated 247 residents and businesses are currently without power, but officials said power should be fully restored in the area at around 3:30 p.m.
