SC authorities find late actor Chadwick Boseman’s uncle, who had been reported missing
An Upstate man who is the uncle of late actor Chadwick Boseman was found safe Tuesday after being missing for two days.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said in a Tuesday afternoon news release that it had located Tony Boseman, 77, who had been missing in Anderson County since Sept. 4. Boseman, 77, suffers from dementia and type-2 diabetes, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
SLED joined numerous local agencies in the search for Tony Boseman and noted he was found in a wooded area not far from his Anderson County home. The 77-year-old was airlifted to a local hospital, where he was being treated for dehydration.
Numerous outlets have reported that Tony Boseman is the uncle of Chadwick Boseman, the late Hollywood actor and Anderson native. Chadwick Boseman, star of the blockbuster smash “Black Panther” and other films, died in 2020 after suffering from cancer.
