National chain Habit Burger Grill is planning a Midlands location. Check out where

It looks like Midlands residents will have the chance to form a new Habit sometime soon.

The Habit Burger Grill, a national fast-casual restaurant chain with more than 300 locations, is planning a store for 5304 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, according to a sign posted at the site. Commercial construction bidding website Construction Journal also listed the project in a posting earlier this year.

The site at 5304 Sunset Blvd. was formerly home to Uno Pizzeria and Grill, which closed in April after 19 years at that location. The former Uno building at the site has been demolished.

Cason Development Group is redeveloping the site. The sign posted there has a rendering showing the planned Habit Burger Grill on the west side of the property, with the east side of the property available for additional commercial development.

The property is about 3 miles from Interstate 20 and about a mile from a large Target-anchored shopping center. It is along a busy stretch of road in Lexington, with more than 43,000 cars per day passing by, per S.C. Department of Transportation traffic stats.

The Habit Burger Grill started in 1969 in California and has grown steadily through the years. It has more than 330 locations in 14 states, according to info on its website.

The restaurant’s menu is stocked with a host of “charburgers,” including the Double Char with Cheese, which comes with “two freshly chargrilled beef patties, caramelized onions, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, pickles, mayo, and cheese on a toasted bun,” per the Habit Burger website.

The restaurant also has chicken, club and other sandwiches, as well as salads, milkshakes, fries and more.
