Five people shot to death in SC home. Here’s what we know

Five people were shot to death at an Inman home Sunday night.

Spartanburg County Coroner Charles Clevenger said four people were found dead in different rooms in a house on Bobo Street and another died during surgery at Spartanburg Regional.

He released the names of three men Monday evening. They are Thomas Ellis Anderson, 37, Adam Daniel Morley, 32, and Mark Allen Hewitt, 59, who was staying at the Bobo Street house. Anderson and Morley lived at the house.

All the people who died were adults and not related, the coroner said Some had multiple gunshot wounds, but the coroner would not reveal any further information.

The first call to 911 came at 7:46 p.m. Sunday and investigators worked through the night to collect evidence, Clevenger said.

“My office and the Sheriff’s Office have been working constantly since the report last evening on this case,” he said in a news release. “We are presently at the morgue attempting to make positive identification and forensic exams.”

Lt. Kevin Bobo of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said the case is an active investigation and no further information will be available at the present time.

“More information will be released only at the appropriate time, and that will be after the Coroner’s Office has identified all the victims and notified their respective families,” he said.
