Teen hasn’t been seen since leaving school near SC State Fair in Columbia, cops say

A search is underway for a missing Midlands teenager with medical issues.

Nicholas Kelleher was publicly reported missing by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday night.

The 17-year-old has not been seen since Monday, when he left Olympia School during the school day, the sheriff’s department said in a news release. That’s on Bluff Road, near the South Carolina State Fairgrounds, and the fair has been underway since last week.

There was no word if Kelleher was considered a runaway, or if he was alone when he was last seen. The sheriff’s department did not say if foul play was suspected in Kelleher’s disappearance.

The teen has medical issues that require treatment and is without needed medications, the sheriff’s department said. Further information on his condition was not available.

Kelleher was last seen wearing a white polo shirt as well as khaki pants, and has a noticeable injury to his thumb, according to the release.

Anyone who has seen Kelleher, or has information about him, is asked to call 911, or CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
