Blythewood woman identified as worker who died at Pepsi’s Columbia warehouse

A 21-year-old Blythewood resident died in an incident at the Pepsi Bottling warehouse last month, the Richland County coroner’s office said.

Robyn Locket’s Oct. 24 death at the soda company’s North Main Street facility is under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Columbia Police Department.

WLTX previously reported Locket on the night of Oct. 24 was operating a forklift, which collided with a storage shelf.

WACH Fox also previously reported the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.

Pepsi said it was saddened by the death of one of its employees at the Columbia facility.

“The safety and well-being of our employees are our top priority,” Pepsi previously said in a statement to media outlets.
