SC driver dies after tractor trailer collides with vehicle on I-20
A South Carolina driver is dead after a tractor trailer veered into their lane and collided with their car on Interstate 20 Tuesday.
The driver of a 2017 Nissan Altima was driving west on I-20 in Darlington County, when a 2015 international tractor trailer traveling east crossed the median and hit the sedan. The collision occurred near the 136 mile marker.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
Highway patrol is still investigating the collision. The name of the driver was not immediately available.
The State has reached out to the Darlington County Coroner’s Office for more information.
