It’s burger time near downtown Lexington.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will open its newest Midlands location on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 111 Swartz Road in Lexington, per a company news release. This is the fourth Midlands spot for Freddy’s, following locations in Irmo, Columbia and West Columbia.

“Our teams work hard to provide a relaxing environment in the restaurant, focusing on cleanliness and quality service,” Freddy’s Lexington franchise owner Brett Rickert said in a statement. “We hope families in the nearby residential neighborhoods will stop by for a quick bite to eat and get a taste of what Freddy’s has to offer.”

The new Lexington location is near a busy stretch of U.S. 1, less than a mile east of the heart of downtown Lexington. About 31,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of road, per S.C. Department of Transportation data.

Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order burgers, all-beef hot dogs and shoestring fries. It also has a host of sweet treats that are made with freshly churned vanilla or chocolate frozen custard.

The new restaurant in Lexington is 2,400 square feet. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
