Some sweet treats are headed to one of Columbia’s busiest shopping corridors.

Crumbl Cookies, a fast-growing national brand, is prepping a new store at 150-C Harbison Blvd. That’s in a shopping center that includes Publix, Target, Old Navy and other shops. The Crumbl will be on the Publix end of the shopping center.

An opening date has not yet been announced, but signs on the shop say it is coming soon, and there are banners touting that the store is now hiring. Construction is underway, and there is a city of Columbia building permit in the window.

Crumbl Cookies is known for a rotating variety of cookies in various flavors, including s’mores, key lime pie, peppermint bark, vanilla bean cupcake, peanut butter and jelly, and, of course, chocolate chip. The cookie lineup changes each week.

The company started in Utah in 2017 and has exploded to more than 500 locations across more than 40 states. Its stores typically offer delivery, curbside pickup, catering and more.

This will be the third Crumbl in the Midlands. There is one on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington in the Target shopping center, and in December a new one opened at 4605 Forest Drive in Forest Acres’ Cardinal Crossing development.
