Parts of Arrowwood Road will be closed from Jan. 9 to Jan. 30 for utility work and bridge construction.

Starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Arrowwood will be closed and drivers will be detoured from the intersection of Lawand Drive to the intersection of Gracern Road, according to a statement released Friday by the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

The closure is part of the Carolina Crossroads Phase 1 project in Richland and Lexington Counties.

The project includes widening parts of the interstate in Lexington County and improvements to the exit ramp to U.S. 378 from I-26 eastbound in Lexington County. It also includes construction of a full access interchange at Colonial Life Boulevard at I-126 in Richland County.
