Armed robber and accomplice sought in Dollar General theft

Richland County authorities released surveillance video of an armed robbery last Saturday of the Dollar General on Broad River Road.

A man brandishing a handgun entered the store located at 1563 Broad River Rd at 9pm on Saturday, July 11, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.

After making one of the employees remove the cash drawer from the cash register, he forced the two employees to lie on the ground while he rifled the drawer. He was last seen getting into a silver Dodge Avenger driven by an accomplice.
