A winning lottery ticket good or $50,000 that was sold in Columbia could soon expire if the prize is not claimed.

According to the S.C. Education Lottery, a Powerball ticket was purchased for the Oct. 29, 2022 drawing at QuikTrip No. 1183 on Fort Jackson Boulevard in Columbia. It matched four of the white ball numbers and the red Powerball number and is good for a $50,000 prize.

However, that prize has not been claimed, and the ticket will expire after April 27. The white numbers in that Oct. 29 drawing were 19, 31, 40, 46 and 57, and the Powerball was 23.

The winning ticket must be claimed at the Columbia Claims Center before 4 p.m. on April 27, or, if mailed, the envelope must be postmarked by that date, the lottery said in a release.

If the prize is not claimed, the $50,000 will be placed in the state’s education lottery account to support education programs in the state.
