One of 2 teens arrested after SC mass shooting already facing gun charges. What we know
One of the two teenagers arrested Saturday after a mass shooting at Meadowlake Park that injured 11 was out on bond for two previous gun-related charges, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said.
TyQuan Kelly, 18, is facing charges stemming from arrests on March 1 and April 16 on weapons charges, Lott said. He had posted a $50,000 bond on one charge and $2,500 on the other.
Kelly and Miquise Fulwiley were arrested after speeding away from the shooting. Lott said a gun was thrown from the car and recovered by deputies.
Investigators have not announced results of weapons tests to see whether the gun was used in the park shooting. Neither teen has been charged in connection with the shooting.
They were charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. Kelly was released Saturday night on a $10,000 bond.
Fulwiley was released on a personal recognizance bond Saturday morning.
