A bit of shine is coming back to Forest Acres.

Kendra Scott, a national retailer known for its trendy jewelry selections, will reopen its store at Trenholm Plaza at 4840 Forest Drive in Forest Acres at 10 a.m. on May 5. The store has been closed for about three months for renovations.

The remodeling efforts are meant to “reflect the brand’s new retail store concept,” the company said in a release.

Kendra Scott will celebrate the Trenholm Plaza reopening with festivities May 5-7. A release said that customers “will enjoy discounts, gifts with purchase, complimentary sips and sweets, and more while they shop” during the reopening weekend. The shop also will have a series of Kendra Gives Back events during the weekend, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities.

Kendra Scott has stores nationwide. Aside from the Forest Acres shop, other South Carolina locations include a store on King Street in Charleston and one on Woodruff Road in Greenville. The company said on its website that its products are “thoughtfully crafted” in an Austin, Texas, studio and “(push) the boundaries of design and innovation while staying true to our principles: color, shape, material, and value.”

The reopening continues the momentum for the Trenholm Plaza shopping center that has been a hub in Forest Acres. J.Crew Factory recently announced it would be opening a shop there. The Publix grocery store at Trenholm Plaza announced late last year that it would be expanding its space to 46,000 square feet. And national retailers HomeGoods, Sephora and Bath & Body Works all have opened new locations there in the last year.
