The final buzzer has sounded at one location of a national sports bar chain in Columbia.

The Buffalo Wild Wings at 10056 Two Notch Road in northeast Columbia recently closed. That’s near the NorthPointe Commons shopping center and a number of other businesses, including a Walmart Supercenter and a Publix grocery store. About 35,000 cars per day pass down that stretch of Two Notch, per state traffic count data.

Word started circulating about the Two Notch Buffalo Wild Wings closure late last week on the popular Facebook foodie group Columbia Eats. When a reporter from The State went by the restaurant at lunchtime Monday it was closed and darkened, and the company’s logos, signage and awnings had been stripped from the building. A lone sign sat inside the front door atrium, promoting last month’s NFL Draft.

The Two Notch Road Buffalo Wild Wings Facebook page lists it as “permanently closed.”

Buffalo Wild Wings has more than 1,200 locations across the U.S. There are several locations still operating in the Midlands, including spots on Harbison Boulevard and Devine Street in Columbia, and on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington. The sports bar chain has long been known, of course, for its Buffalo-style chicken wings, as well as burgers, cold beer and more.
