Get ready to fly, Lexington.

A Big Air trampoline park location is being planned for a busy commercial corridor in Lexington. According to a post on the Big Air Lexington Facebook page, it will be located at 934 North Lake Drive. That’s in a shopping complex that includes Food Lion, Books-A-Million, Hibbett Sports and other stores.

“Something BIG is coming to Lexington,” a May 6 graphic on the Big Air Lexington Facebook page touts. In a response to a commenter on that post, the business said it hopes to open by the end of the year, depending on the pace of construction.

Big Air has trampoline parks in locations across the South, Midwest and West, according to its website. Other South Carolina locations include Anderson, Myrtle Beach, Greenville and Spartanburg. Lexington’s location is listed as “coming soon” on the Big Air site.

“Big Air offers high-flying fun for the whole family where you can literally bounce off the walls,” the company says on its website. “Jumping surfaces include trampoline dodgeball courts, slam dunk courts, ninja-warrior courses, launch pads, foam pits, a massive freestyle court, climbing wall & much more!”

The parks also typically offer birthday party and other group bookings.

The Lexington Big Air will be coming to a busy area. About 17,700 cars per day pass down that stretch of North Lake Drive, per state Department of Transportation traffic count data, and about 35,000 cars per day travel down the section of Sunset Boulevard just south of the shopping center.
