This tiny SC kitten lost a leg and her eyesight. Here’s what happened next
Her name is Noodle.
Mostly black with a white underbelly and white on her three legs.
One was amputated after she was hit by a car in May.
“We did everything possible to save her leg,” the Greenville Humane Society said in a Facebook post Monday.
She recovered nicely. Learned easily how to get around as a tripod, as animals do.
A few weeks later, while undergoing surgery to be spayed, her heart stopped.
The surgery team revived her.
Yet, the outcome was not good.
She is blind in both eyes.
As if life had not been cruel enough for a 3.5-month-old kitten.
“It is very unlikely that her eyesight will ever recover, and now she’s working on adjusting to not only living life with only three legs, but also blind in both eyes,” the Facebook post said
Despite it all, this is a kitten who did not give up.
“She’s still a sweet, friendly 3.5-month-old kitten. We would love to find her a comfortable, stable home where she can grow into a confident cat.”
They thought it best if a family with another friendly cat would adopt her.
“Show her the ropes and be her guide throughout life.” they said.
It didn’t take long before a family walked into the Humane Society and announced they wanted Noodle. And on National Kitten Day, no less.
The Humane Society did not identify the family but did post a photo. A Humane Society representative could not be reached for comment.
The paperwork signed and Noodle was on her way home.
