A Columbia shop known for cupcakes and other sweet treats will soon close its doors.

Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery at 4400 Fort Jackson Blvd. suite 600B is set to close up shop, according to a post on its Facebook page.

“To all our loyal customers & fans, with a heavy heart we have made the decision to close Smallcakes Fort Jackson location on September 15th,” the business posted. “Thank you so much Columbia for all the love & support!”

The Smallcakes brand has shops across the U.S., including four in South Carolina, per a store locator tool on its website. The one on Fort Jackson Boulevard was the only current Columbia location.

The Smallcakes in Columbia has been known, naturally, for its cupcakes, and the shop has 14 signature flavors, including pink vanilla, birthday cake, peanut butter cup and others. It also has a host of other specialty flavors.

The cupcake shop has been in a shopping center that includes a Marshalls, a Michaels and other businesses.
