New Brookland Tavern, the famed West Columbia music venue, is moving across the river and into The Cotton Gin building in Five Points, the business announced on social media.

The venue will move into the Five Points location at 632 Harden St. in December, according to the post.

New Brookland Tavern’s future became unclear when the building it resides in went up for sale earlier this year. The venue’s owners started a GoFundMe fundraiser to help save the building or to help the venue move into a new one.

In September, the business announced that any dreams of staying at the 122 State St. address in West Columbia were dead and that the venue would be moving locations once the State Street lease ends in December.
