A popular Puerto Rican restaurant near Columbia is closing its doors.
A Fuego 100x35, located at 7320 Broad River Road in Irmo, announced its impending closure on its Facebook page. The last day is Tuesday, Oct. 31, per a social media post from the business. The restaurant was set to be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 31.
“This is written with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the closing of A Fuego 100x35 in Irmo, SC,” the business wrote in an Oct. 27 Facebook post that it dubbed a farewell letter. “This has been a very difficult and overwhelming decision as we are so sad to say goodbye, as we have decided it’s time to move on to the next life adventure.
“We would like to thank our amazing staff for being such an important part of our business and for helping us to provide so many wonderful memories with all of our beloved guests.”
The farewell post drew a strong reaction on Facebook, drawing nearly 600 reactions, 233 comments and 58 shares.
“I’m so sorry to hear this,” one customer posted. “Your food, your staff, and yourself have been absolutely amazing. I’ve visited your restaurant a couple of times and absolutely loved it. May God bless you and keep you all.”
