A Lugoff man is $300,000 richer following a $10 investment in a scratch-off ticket in the Rolling Jackpot game, the South Carolina Education Lottery announced Thursday.

The winner, whose name wasn’t released, told lottery officials he looked at the ticket several times to be sure he really won.

“I totally wasn’t expecting it,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

The Wildwood Market on Wildwood Lane in Lugoff sold the ticket and received a $3,000 commission.

Four $300,000 prizes remain in the Rolling Jackpot game, which has odds of one in 1,080,000 of winning, the lottery said in a news release.

Players can enter the Rolling Jackpot tickets using the education lottery’s app or website for a second chance to win a rolling cash jackpot.
