Search ends for missing toddler, Richland County deputies say
The search for a missing toddler in Columbia ended Sunday, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
“Brooklyn Scott has been found and is safe,” the sheriff’s department said in a 12:33 p.m. news release.
Information about where and when Brooklyn was found was not available. Although the 3-year-old girl has been found, the sheriff’s department said an investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
At about 9:30 a.m., the sheriff’s department said Brooklyn was last seen early Sunday morning. The child was last seen at about 3 a.m., in the 1600 block of Longcreek Drive near Exit 65 on Interstate 20.
There was no word whether Brooklyn walked away or if foul play was suspected in her disappearance.
