Five people have been displaced after a serious fire at a north Columbia home.

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department responded at about 10 p.m. Thursday on Club Road, according to a post on the department’s social media channels. That’s located just west of Monticello Road.

Department officials said crews found heavy fire and smoke pouring from the home when they arrived. Firefighters from Engine 13 arrived first and were soon followed by personnel from a number of other engines and battalions.

No one was injured in the blaze, but five residents have been displaced, the department said.

The Richland County fire marshals’ office will investigate what caused the fire.
