Richland County hosts public meetings to discuss sewer project

Richland County Councilmen Kelvin Washington and Norman Jackson are hosting community meetings to discuss the Lower Richland sewer project.

The project has drawn some criticism because people are worried about cost.

▪ Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Richland County Sheriff’s Department Region 1 Substation, 2615 Lower Richland Blvd., Columbia

▪ Tuesday, Aug. 11, 5-8 p.m. at Hopkins Park, 150 Hopkins Park Road, Hopkins

▪ Tuesday, Aug. 18, 5-8 p.m. at Gadsden Elementary School, 1660 South Goodwin Circle, Gadsden

▪ Monday, Aug. 27, 5-8 p.m. at Hopkins Elementary School, 6120 Cabin Creek Road, Eastover
