An opening date has been set for a Mexican restaurant in a busy Columbia neighborhood.

Masa Mexican Street Food will have its grand opening on Monday, Feb. 5, according to a news release. The restaurant is located at 2811-A Rosewood Drive. The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and will be closed on Sundays.

This will be the second Masa location in the Midlands. The first location has been operating in Camden since 2020. The owners of Masa also operate Salud Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Lounge in Camden and Coa Agaveria Y Cocina in Columbia.

Masa’s menu draws culinary inspiration from the Oaxaca and Jalisco areas of Mexico, per a release.

“Classic Mexican dishes such as tacos, quesadillas, fresh tortillas, tamales, huaraches, and molotes are elevated with authentic flavor combinations and the use of freshly prepared in-house masa,” the release said.

The restaurant will also offer a robust menu of drinks, with specialties in tequila and mezcal cocktails, as well as tiki-style cocktails.

The Rosewood Drive Masa will be a full-service restaurant, with bar, booth and table dining. It also will offer takeout.
