Boil water advisory for Hardscrabble Road area lifted
A boil water advisory issued earlier in the week for an area along Hardscrabble Road has been lifted, officials say.
A 12-inch water main break on the 1700 block of Hardscrabble Road on Wednesday prompted a road closure between Powell Road and El Hunter Road where Hardscrabble crosses I-77.
Customers no longer need to boil water prior to cooking or consuming, City of Columbia Water Works officials said in a statement released Friday.
The section of road along Hardscrabble remains closed.
Customers wanting additional information about the advisory should call (803) 545-3300.
