A pair of restaurants are planning debuts in a busy shopping center near Lake Murray.

Cheesy Pint Pizzeria and Brother’s & Beer III Mexican Restaurant are each under development at the Murray Landing shopping center in the 2700 block of N. Lake Drive near Irmo. That shopping center is anchored by a Publix grocery store.

A banner is hanging in the window of 2738 N. Lake Drive announcing that Brother’s & Beer III is coming soon. A yellow notice also is posted on the door indicating that the Mexican restaurant has applied for its licenses to sell beer, wine and liquor.

This would be the third Brother’s & Beer restaurant in the Midlands, following the locations at 205 Columbia Ave. in Lexington and at 1270 Bower Parkway in the Harbison shopping district.

Meanwhile, Cheesy Pint Pizzeria is on the way at 2742 N. Lake Drive. There is a large banner atop the restaurant announcing it is coming soon, as well as a “coming soon” sign on the door. Construction work was ongoing when a reporter briefly rode by recently.

North Lake Drive through that section near Irmo is a bustling road, with Lake Murray off to the west and a host of residential subdivisions nearby. About 28,300 cars per day travel down that section of North Lake, per state Department of Transportation data.
