Portion of Highway 378 reopened to traffic after chicken-truck spill

The portion of Highway 378 that was closed briefly Monday morning has now been reopened to traffic.

Lexington Police Department officials closed the westbound lanes of Highway 378 between the 5500 block of Sunset Boulevard and North Lake Drive after a truck carrying chicken “by-product” spilled its contents onto the roadway.

Clean-up crews were able to clear the roadway of the debris by 12 p.m. Monday.
