Midlands woman arrested as suspect in morning bank robbery

A West Columbia woman has been arrested as a suspect in a Thursday morning bank robbery.

Satorius Zayevon Martin, 30, who lives in West Columbia, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Earlier in the day, around 11:30 a.m., West Columbia police received a report that there had been a robbery at Security Federal Bank on Sunset Boulevard.

The FBI and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department joined West Columbia police’s investigation, which led to the arrest of Martin a few hours later.

Martin has been booked into the Lexington County Detention Center and charged with robbery/entering a bank, deposit or loan with intent to steal. Police did not say how much was stolen from the bank or share any other details from the robbery in a statement about the arrest shared Thursday afternoon.
