Search for SC teen who hasn’t been seen for days since being discharged from hospital

A search is underway for a South Carolina teenager who has been missing for days.

Makiya Quinn was publicly reported missing by the Aiken Department of Public Safety on Thursday. The 18-year-old Aiken resident has not been since Sunday, the department of public safety said in a news release.

Quinn was last seen after she was discharged from the Aiken Regional Medical Centers, according to the release. Information about why Quinn was hospitalized was not available, and the department of public safety did not say if she is endangered.

There was no word if Quinn was considered a runaway, or if she was alone when she was last seen. The department of public safety did not say if foul play was suspected in Quinn’s disappearance.

The department of public safety described Quinn as a 5-foot-2, 115-pound female, and a photo it shared of her shows that she has dark-colored hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top, gray or pink shorts, and white Crocs, according to the release.

Anyone who has seen Quinn, or has information about her, is asked to call the department of public safety at 803-642-7620, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
