After playing the lottery every day, a Chapin man finally wins.

“It’s terrific,” said the Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot winner said after scoring $140,000.

The man bought the winning ticket at a Circle K on Chapin Road, the South Carolina Education Lottery said in a news release.

The winner told lottery officials that he plays Palmetto Cash 5 every day and had come close to winning the grand prize once before, having only one number off.

His luck changed for the better this week.

And he says he’s going to keep playing, telling officials, “I have a ticket for tonight,” according to the release.

The Circle K on Chapin Road received a commission of $1,400 for selling the ticket, according to the release.
