A new spot for chicken wings, burgers and more is coming to this busy Columbia area
A new spot for wings and more is headed to a busy Columbia neighborhood.
Chex Grill & Wings, which has locations in multiple states, will open a spot in the shopping center at 2800 Rosewood Drive, according to a Facebook post from commercial real estate company Trinity Partners. That shopping center is anchored by a Publix grocery store.
The Chex location will be going into a spot that formerly was home to a Dano’s pizza restaurant. That Dano’s moved up the street to 3008 Rosewood Drive a decade ago.
“After about 10 years of the former Dano’s sitting vacant, we are very excited to backfill the space with Chex Grill & Wings,” Trinity Partners said in its social media post. “They will be a wonderful new restaurant option for Columbia and the Shandon and Rosewood neighborhoods in particular.”
An opening date for Chex has not been publicly announced.
Chex Grill & Wings was founded in Charlotte in 2014 and now has locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Its menu features burgers, chicken wings, salads, sub sandwiches, wraps, desserts and more.
Rosewood Drive continues to be a bustling thoroughfare near downtown Columbia, lined with commercial businesses and bordered by highly-populated residential neighborhoods. About 24,000 cars per day travel down Rosewood, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
