An Ohio man has been indicted by a federal grand jury and is accused of cyberstalking minors in multiple states, including South Carolina.

U.S. Attorney Adair Ford Boroughs’ office said that Jack Keegan Davis, 21, of Columbus, Ohio, has been indicted on charges of coercion and enticement of minors; production, distribution and possession of child sex abuse material; and cyberstalking.

Agents with the FBI arrested Davis in Ohio, and he was brought to South Carolina. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Paige Gossett, and he was ordered to be detained pending trial, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

The indictment alleges that, from August 2022 through October 2024, the suspect used four social media platforms and 130 social media display names to pose as a minor and interact with minors online.

“Davis used those accounts to persuade minor victims to engage in sexual conduct and to produce child sexual abuse material,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office alleged in a release. “Davis allegedly received that material, possessed it, and distributed some of that content to other minors, including classmates of one of his victims.”

Authorities also allege the suspect threatened to kill a minor and that minor’s family.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the suspect faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison on the child sexual abuse materials charge, and a maximum of life in prison on the coercion and enticement charge.

The FBI Columbia field office investigated the case, along with the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies.
