House fire displaces two in Midlands

Two people have been displaced after their home caught fire Thursday evening.

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 2600 block of Magnolia Street shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Firefighters arrived to find “a large amount of fire coming from the rear of the property,” according to a statement from the fire department on social media.

The fire was located in a rear room of the house. Fire crews extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
