The final month of 2024 saw Columbia venues announce several concerts for local music fans to look forward to in the new year, including a pair of big names that are set to play the state’s largest arena.

“Queen of Hip-Hop and Soul” Mary J. Blige returns to Columbia at Colonial Life Arena on Feb. 5. She is joined for this date on the “For My Fans” tour by special guests NE-YO and Mario. Known for hits such as “Family Affair” and “Everything,” Blige has been a heavy-hitter since the ’90s, releasing her 15th studio album, “Gratitude,” in November. Tickets for the Columbia concert are on sale now.

Also announced for Colonial Life Arena was increasingly popular comedian Nate Bargatze, who brings his “Big Dumb Eyes” world tour to Columbia on Aug. 14. Bargatze has grabbed attention with multiple Netflix specials and two appearances on “Saturday Night Live” (including an oft-memed sketch in which he proudly lists off American quirks, like our rejection of the Metric System, as George Washington addressing his troops). Tickets for the Columbia concert are on sale now.

Leading a series of high-profile announcements at the Township Auditorium, Jerry Seinfeld is set to return to Columbia for a performance on May 16. The ubiquitous comedian is, of course, best known for his eponymous ’90s sitcom. Tickets for the concert are on sale now.

One of the leading names in folk and Americana will also stop by the Township next year, as Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit roll through Columbia on April 16. A former member of Drive-By Truckers, Isbell has cemented himself as one of modern music’s most revered songwriters. He’s been productive the past couple years, issuing the studio album “Weathervanes” in 2023 and a second volume in his “Live from the Ryman” series in 2024. Tickets for the Columbia concert are on sale now.

Also coming to the Township is a Valentine’s show on Feb. 14 headlined by R&B stars Tank and Ginuwine alongside Sunshine Anderson and comedian George Wilburn; as well as a return visit from Brit Floyd on Aug. 27, which will see the touring Pink Floyd tribute act celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic album “Wish You Were Here.” Tickets to both of those shows are on sale now.

The Senate, Columbia’s large rock club, is bringing the goods for jam rock fans, announcing stops from Keller Williams (performing arrangements of Grateful Dead tunes on April 19) and Moe. (Mar. 12). The rapper Ian (Feb. 20) has also announced a performance at the venue. Tickets for all three of those shows are on sale now.
