West Columbia repeals boil water advisory

The city of West Columbia has ended a boil water advisory for water customers throughout the city Monday.

Officials said customers located south of Sunset Boulevard, east of 12th Street, north of Evergreen Avenue and west of the Saluda and Congaree river do not have to boil their water before drinking or cooking.

Officials said the water supply has been thoroughly tested and boiling water is no longer necessary.
