A coffee shop and cafe in Lexington County is moving from near the shores of Lake Murray to a spot closer to Lexington High School.

Nomad Cafe Co. announced on social media in late December that it will be moving from its spot at 3234 US 378 in Leesville near the lake to a new shop at 2664 Augusta Highway in Lexington. That’s about a mile east of Lexington High.

“While our time [at the Lake Murray location] has been incredible, we’ve quickly realized we need more room to serve our growing community,” the business said on Facebook and Instagram. “This move represents our passion for growth and our commitment to providing an even better coffee experience for our customers.”

The Leesville location of Nomad is now closed. A reopening date at the Augusta Highway spot has not yet been announced.

The coming Nomad location along Augusta Highway is listed in the “commercial projects” section of the Jan. 16 Lexington County Planning Commission agenda packet.

The menu at Nomad has included a host of craft lattes, drip coffee, teas, as well as breakfast croissants and more.
